My research explores microplastic abundance and distribution patterns in Northern California Current seawater and zooplankton.
Prior to beginning my MS, I worked with Dr. Brett Dumbauld of the USDA-ARS researching estuarine ecology surrounding bivalve aquaculture. Research included identifying a sustainable culture of shellfish and quantifying their role as habitat for other fish and invertebrates in the estuarine environment. We also researched the effects of ocean acidification on larval and seed survival in Pacific oysters and examine burrowing mud shrimp populations.
