Academic Interests:
I study the influence of habitat type on reproductive success of the endangered Hawaiian common gallinule ('Alae 'ula) on Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge, Kauai island, Hawaii.
In general, I am interested in Hawaiian and avian conservation, endangered species recovery efforts, habitat management of agriculturally dominated environments, and the intersection of cultural preservation and wildlife conservation.
