Academic Interests:
I'm broadly interested in transdisciplinary approaches to address marine conservation challenges in a changing world. Through my current and future research, I aim to use quantitative techniques to better understand the cetacean bycatch in small-scale fisheries and develop bycatch mitigation strategies in developing countries to capitalize limited resources. I am also undertaking qualitative approaches to understand community attitudes and predict desired behavioral changes for cetacean conservation with an aim to incentivizing both local fishing livelihood and conservation efforts.
