My primary focus revolves around Fisheries, Fisheries Management, and Fisheries Economics, with a particular emphasis on Marine Fisheries. I focus on modeling, meta-analysis, quantitative fisheries, population trends, dynamics, and the economic dimensions of fisheries. My approach prioritizes sustainable, ecology-based practices while acknowledging the human impact on fisheries management.

My current work revolves around the modeling of near-shore ecosystems on the Oregon coast (i.e., Kelp forests), to simulate population and ecosystem-level dynamics and interactions, and test the potential effects of alternative management scenarios (i.e., urchin culling, kelp restoration, sea otter reintroduction).
