I am a marine conservation social scientist and ecologist interested in using interdisciplinary strategies to approach human-related problems within the marine and coastal realm. I’m currently a Fisheries Science Master’s student in the Human Dimensions Lab researching psychologically grounded communication strategies intended to motivate widespread climate action in response to ocean change. I received a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in June 2022. I’m involved in various projects, all with the idea of bridging our understanding of human behavior with our understanding of marine ecology to develop effective conservation strategies. I am passionate about finding ways to mitigate and adapt to anthropogenic effects on the marine environment and plan to positively impact marine conservation issues.
