Confluence Symposium

2026 Confluence Symposium

SAVE THE DATE: 2026 Confluence Symposium will be Friday, April 10th.

WHAT IS CONFLUENCE?

Formerly called the Research Advances in Fisheries Wildlife and Ecology Symposium (RAFWE, or RAFWE-WFGRS), the Confluence Symposium is a joint research showcase hosted by graduate students in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences and the College of Forestry at Oregon State University. This annual event brings together a diverse student and faculty community to showcase research, extension, and outreach activities conducted by undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of fisheries and wildlife, forestry, ecology, natural resources, and human dimensions.

Confluence supports engagement and collaboration by offering students the opportunity to present research, receive peer feedback, and explore the breadth of current and emerging research within their academic community. The conference also offers skill-building workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, and opportunities for students to build connections with peers across their fields.

Examples of research topics include ecology, forest management, forest products, human dimensions in natural resources. Confluence communicates research projects across OSU’s many natural resource and environmental programs and we encourage students from all related disciplines to participate.
