RAFWE 2021's Virtual Auction!

*Some details and photos on this page for the 2021 auction are still being updated
This year we will be hosting our auction virtually! The auction event will include a silent auction (open during all of RAFWE!) and a live auction (during the event). Money raised from the auction helps fund RAFWE, Fisheries and Wildlife Graduate Student Association outreach and networking activities, and student scholarships. See the below pictures from a service event that we held earlier this year as an informal networking activity with undergraduate students in Fisheries and Wildlife that was partly funded by RAFWE 2019!

FWGSA would like to thank the following businesses and individuals (in no particular order) for donating to the 2020 Auction:

If you have the means, click on the links to see how you can support local business during these tough times

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

The 2019 Auction helped support the 2019 RAFWE Symposium and events throughout the year such as our volunteer event with undergraduates with the McKenzie River Land Trust.

Thanks to the 2019 RAFWE Fundraiser, we were able to supply transportation and snacks for this event that helped connect undergraduate and graduate students in the Department. Donations collected at this years auction will help support future RAFWE conferences and future outreach events like our mulch spreading day!

On Saturday February 22, 2020 a handful of graduate students in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife and around a dozen undergraduate students drove to Eugene to help the McKenzie River Land Trust spread mulch around small trees and shrubs in their Green Island property riparian restoration project. We started with several FULL mulch piles nearly as tall as our volunteers.

We used blue buckets like those above to mulch hundreds of small seedlings for the McKenzie River Land Trust

By the time we finished mulching, that pile in the first image was reduced to a smudge of mulch (indicated by red arrow) on the bare ground!
